Blog Entry #2.2- Product Analysis 1 (A)


1. What holiday/event does the card represent? The holiday that the card represent is Christmas.

2. What type of images are used – photos, cartoons or graphics? How do the images used connect to the holiday/event? Photos are used for this card. The image is used to connect to the holiday because the light up Christmas tree is what makes the holiday special.

3. In your opinion, is the cover of the card attention-grabbing? Explain exactly why or why not. Consider the arrangement of elements as well as use of images, color and text. I think the cover of the card is attention-grabbing because the true beauty of this holiday pops out. Its not about the gifts, its about the real natural reason for this holiday.

4. What text is written on the front of the card? Where is it located on the front? The text " Hope this Christmas brings you a few peaceful moments..." is written on the card. It is located at the top of it.


5. What text is written inside the card? Where is it located inside the card? The text " ...some slow time to fill your heart with everything the season means to you." is written inside the card. Its located in the very middle.

6. In your opinion, does the text inside the card connect to the image(s) on the cover? Explain exactly why or why not. I think the text inside the card connects to the image on the cover because both represent the true meaning of Christmas.


7. What types of information appears on the back of the card? (Do not copy it exactly!) The information that's on the back of the card is the name of where the card was made by and what its made of.

8. To what consumer is this card targeted? (Consider age group, gender, race and/or religion.) What about the design led you to this conclusion? This card targets to adults that celebrate Christmas and knows the true meaning of it.
